¡ Hello to everyone !
Today I would like to speak to you about one of
the latest changes occurred in the place where he studied, the school of
government and public management of the university of Chile.
This change is associated with taking or
registering courses. Long before I will
enter the race, a system of courses is established based on a ranking of notes,
which positions the student or student in a place of this ranking according to
its general average of notes and credits obtained when attending the branches
of the race. This caused some discomfort in some of the students, , since the
notes often do not reflect the knowledge, but depend on of the criteria of each
teacher or of their form of evaluation, So that those who had worse notes were,
forever, at the end of the ranking, with no possibility of being promoted nor
to choose teachers and timetables at will.
This finally changed! After a long
process of information, discussion, meetings and, finally, a plebiscite, the
school community decided to change this mechanism of taking courses by the
ranking of happiness. This method of enrolling courses, operates under a fairly
random logic, without considering as criteria the student's grades . The
courses will be enrolled according to how happy make the or the section
(Teacher and schedule) to the student, giving us all the possibility to remain
the least with one of the teachers that
are within our preferences.
It seems to me that this is a very
positive change for the School, since it generates a more equitable climate, fair
and collaborative between the students.
