ILLAPU is a renowned folk music
group root born in 1971 in the city of Antofagasta, located in the second
region. Born with the aim of rescuing the melodies, instruments and songs
associated with the Andean culture.
Ther musical work has not only
built on the rescue of the Andean melodies, but it has also been portrayal of
various historical moments, political and social rights that are part of
Chilean history, representing
